1. Domestic Violence

      In the UK, trade unions like ours have had a long standing history in highlighting that one in four women, and one in six men, will be a victim of domestic violence during their lifetime! According to 2012/13 research for the Crime Survey of England and Wales, 10 women a week will commit suicide and a further 2 women a week will be killed by a current (or former) partner through domestic violence. Overall, estimates for those who have experienced some form of domestic abuse are 30% for women and 16.3% for men!
