Free funded courses

Recently the UK Government devolved the educational funding budget for adult courses across England, and this has caused some issues with provision for some educational providers. The URTU Learning project is pleased to let you know that we have been able to formally sign an agreement with a national provider to deliver the same distance learning level 2 course offer, as we had been doing, to all the English regions. We also have similar offers in the devolved regions of Scotland and Wales.

These new working relationships will make it even easier for you the learner to be able to undertake a fully accredited and funded level 2 course.

We have over 20 courses currently within our portfolio and are continually adding to this, to enable us to offer you free training opportunities in a wide range of subjects.  There are three main categories the courses are divided into ‘Health and Social Care’ which covers courses both in adult and child social care such as introducing caring for children and young people and preparing to work in adult social care.  The second category is ‘Personal Development’ the courses offered in this section cover peoples personal training needs such as customer services, business administration and team leading.  The last category is ‘Health and Social Care’ within this section you can learn about mental health issues and lifestyle choices such as health and nutrition or improving personal exercise.

To view the full list of courses and find out how to register visit our courses/England learning page.

All these courses are available free of charge to people who have lived in the EU for the past three years and currently live in England.

We also have a similar offer for people living in Scotland, to view those courses visit our courses/Scotland learning page.
